One week down, lots more to go

Hiiii!!! I will be the first to admit that I have been not-so-great at keep up with this thing. Sorry, life has been keeping me very busy! As the title suggests, I just finished my first week of graduate school!! PRAISE HIM!!! I am just so thankful and blessed for all this… my new home, the awesome family that I’m living with, the great program that I was accepted into, the wonderful teachers and students that I am working with, the solid church that I have been placed into… all of it. I’m one lucky gal. 🙂

Lots of things have happened recently, I don’t even know where to begin. I have a new computer :D. I have about a bazillion things to read/do each week for school. I am making friends and am hopefully about to make many more – yippy skippy! I’m studying Acts (and lovin’ it) and am about to start another exciting women’s study at Fellowship Bible Church (my spiritual digs here) where I cannot wait to learn lots of great things from women much wiser (and older) than I. I’m still running – sorta. I finally have a Skype account and we should chat on it sometime (hokielady2010)! I miss Virginia Tech like crazy for many reasons, but I’m learning how to not just be content with my current situation but also be joyful in the place that He has led me – I’m changing and growing and maturing and it’s for the best… as sad as it sounds to me, life does exist outside and beyond of VPI. I’ve been cooking again and that’s been wonderful for me… to all my OTs out there, it’s definitely an occupation and not an activity for me! 😉 I absolutely love school already. It is undeniably difficult at times – and will continue to be so for the next 2.5 years – but I’m loving each and every thing that I’m learning. And it’s only been a week! 🙂 It’s just so wonderful and assuring to me to see the joy that He’s given me through all this – to see His hand at work. It’s a beautiful thing. 🙂 Lots of other things are going on/have happened, but I can’t remember any of them right now, hehe. But thank you for reading about my crazy, changing life these days. 🙂

Also, please join me in prayer as I face the next few years of graduate school and witness to those around me at SU and in Winchester. I’ve already had awesome opportunities to serve His people and I hope that He continues to give them to me – and continues to give me the strength in those moments to bear His name (Romans 1:16) and the wisdom to chose my level of involvement in lots of areas. I absolutely hate being one of those “please pray for me” people, but I’m learning that being that kind of person is totally okay. Encouraged, actually. We’re all members of the body – please pray that this member will continue to do her job. 🙂

Sewing those seeds,

So sorry for not posting anything recently! I will be back in the swing of things soon… new MACBOOK and (hopefully) internet access this Wednesday!! I’m too awfully excited about these two things (among many other wonderful things). 🙂 Until then, thank goodness for Starbucks’ gift cards and free internet. 😉

Lots of love,
